As of May 8, 2012, the number of autism research articles had grown to 19,822.  You may know that many apps are addressing autism.  Do you know that the  Autism Reading Room features interactive tools to explain current scientific knowledge about autism spectrum disorders. Offering a new phone app that tests autism knowledge, Autism Quiz,
the
first comprehensive online project to build bridges between scientific research on autism and the public,

is available free at the iTunes store.

So you still think you know AUTISM?

Offering access to published scientific research as well as easily understandable summaries written by a team of MindSpec scientists, the Autism Reading Room explores topics such as:

• Risk Factors: comprehensive summary of genetic and environmental factors
• Diagnosis: compilation of all current tests and strategies
• Brain Biology: overview of brain development, focusing on autistic brains
• Advances: latest scientific developments in autism treatment
• Trends: exploration of current and historical trends in autism research
• News in Context: guide to autism news stories

The Autism Quiz answers to these 3 questions can be found at Autism Reading Room  or via the Autism Reading Room iTunes FREE app:  Requirements: Compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation) and iPad. Requires iOS 5.0.
MindSpec is a nonprofit organization that is working to solve the genetic puzzle of autism by utilizing innovative bioinformatics strategies to accelerate research on common neurodevelopmental disorders. With our research we hope to foster discovery and development of treatments that alleviate the symptoms of affected individuals.  MindSpec created the first genetic database for autism, AutDB. The Autism Reading Room is its first outreach project and the
first comprehensive online project to build bridges between scientific research on autism and the public.

Every six hours, an autism research paper is published.

As of May 8, 2012, the number of autism research articles had grown to 19,822. How can affected parents possibly understand this overwhelming amount of scientific information? The answer lies with the creation of the Autism Reading Room.
