Thanks to all of the Louisiana Legislators, especially Autism Insurance Reform legislation spearheaded by Legislator Eric LeFleur!

Our autism insurance reform bill has won final approval in the Senate and is on its way to Governor Jindal for his signature! The Governor signed our original bill in 2008 which provided coverage up to age 16 with a $144,000 lifetime cap on benefits. The new bill will extend coverage up to age 21 and eliminate the financial cap. Ask Governor Jindal to join with the Legislature in making our original law even better! And send some thanks to the Senate and the House for their support!

Autism Speaks Endorses Louisiana HB. 771 sponsored by State Representative Franklin Foil. 

HB. 771 seeks to raise the age cap from 17 to 21, as well as, eliminate the cap on Lifetime Benefits for Autism Insurance Benefits.

HB. 771 was introduced in House; referred to House Insurance Committee.
