Researchers deem more Autism Interventions as Evidence-Based

"Which Autism Interventions Work Best?"

Study finds that there are more than two dozen autism interventions worthy of being called "evidence-based".

The NPDC on ASD is a multi-university center that operates through three sites: the FPG Child Development Institute at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill,  the M.I.N.D. Institute at University of California at Davis Medical School, and the Waisman Center at the University of Wisconsin at Madison.

Which Autism Interventions Work Best? - Disability Scoop





The review identified 27 interventions with substantial research backing ranging from cognitive behavorial intervention to exercise, modeling, scripting and use of a picture exchange communication system.

That's an increase over the 24 interventions considered to be proven in an earlier version of the report that was produced in 2008.
