2013 Medicare Changes impacting Physical Therapy

The American Physical Therapy Association explains how 'The American Taxpayer  Relief Act of 2012 (HR 8)' will affect physical therapy services received through Medicare.  APTA reviews "5 important provisions for physical therapists", including Fee Schedule, Therapy Cap, MPPR, GPCI.  The Medicare, The National Institutes of Health and other federal agencies will see a reduction in payments with sequestration cuts on March 1.  There are "several other policies of importance to physical therapists  that went into effect January 1." Learn more,  ask questions and/or  give comments.
Regarding the Multiple Payment Procedure Reduction, " this reduction will be partially offset by a 4% increase that resulted from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services(CMS)  use of new survey  data of practice expenses conducted by APTA."
